The Macomb Academy of Arts and
Sciences officially opened its doors in August of
1999. The Academy started with 50 freshmen students from school districts in northern
Macomb County and 2 teachers. We
graduated our first class in May 2002.
Since that time, we have
expanded to over 200 students and 7 teachers.
Our student body comes from 3 surrounding
counties - Macomb, St. Clair and Lapeer counties.
Our graduates have attended
colleges and universities on an international basis.
A number of these college graduates have gone on to
pursue advanced degrees including study at the
doctorate level.
