Content Standard IV, 2: Students recognize that numbers are used in different ways such as counting, measuring, ordering, and estimation, understand and produce multiple representations of a number, and translate among equivalent representations. (Representation and Uses of Numbers)
3. Investigate ways numbers are used (e.g., counting, ordering, naming, locating, and measuring).
Content Standard IV, 3: Students investigate relationships such as equality, inequality, inverses, factors, and multiples, and represent and compare very large and very small numbers. (Number Relationships)
3. Classify numbers as odd or even and explore concepts of factors and multiples.

If the children know the program Carnival Countdown from kindergarten and first grade, they can use it as a good review before the test. (The concept of odd and even numbers is in several chapters of their math books, and needs to be constantly reinforced.)
Review and Closure:
The students have a contest to see which group can correctly identify and write the most odd and even numbers.
