Welcome to the
Walt Disney Elementary PTO Website!
As a parent, teacher, or staff member at Disney Elementary, you are
automatically a member of our Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO).
Your level of involvement depends on you! We invite you to
become as active as you are comfortable. Whether you have an
hour a week to give or an hour this year we are happy to have you. |
|
OUR PURPOSE
Our goal is to
enhance the learning experience for each and every one of our students
and to make Walt Disney Elementary a
GREAT
place to learn! In addition we are all about having fun and making
sure that everyone feels welcome in our building. There is truly a
place for every one!

ACTIVITIES FOR
OUR STUDENTS
Throughout the
year the PTO recognizes our students on special occasions and for
reaching accomplishments. We provide green treats on
ST. PATRICK’S DAY,
an ARTS
program introducing our students to art,
FUN
RUN,
SUMMER READING CHALLENGE, WEEKLY BAGEL SALES POPCORN PARTIES,
and time during the holidays for our students to prepare a home-made
CHRISTMAS
CRAFT for
their family. All of these activities require many volunteers to run
successfully. |
|
OUR BUDGET
With all of
the above offered services, there are expenses. While we try to
minimize the amount of time spent on “fundraising” it must be done to
support our efforts. The bulk of our budget is provided by the
profits from our
FALL MARKET
DAY
FUNDRAISER.
This budget is supplemented by programs like our monthly
MARKET DAY
sale,
participating in the
MEIJER COMMUNITY
REWARD PROGRAM, TARGET TAKE CHARGE PROGRAM, CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS,
and
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION,
Continue
to send in your used ink cartridges and cell
phones. These turn into money to help support our computer
lab.
THANK YOU

|

supporting the above mentioned activities and services, PTO monies are
also used to support

GRADE FAREWELL/CARICATURES, STUDENT COUNCIL, COMPUTER LAB, DARE
